A Minimalist Aesthetic
Japanese tansu cabinets date to the 7th century. Tansu designs facilitated moving important papers and precious items including swords. Beautiful, durable Japanese chestnut, elm and cypress along with highly worked metal ornamentation graced the exterior with softer cedar used for interior components.
